I did my First Jump course (aka FTJ) on 7th January 2017 at Skydive Robertson with Instructor Andre. The course was extensive covering all aspects of canopy control, landing safely, emergency procedures and plenty of drills from climbing out the plane, when the parachute opens, and the landing procedure to name a few. A week later I started my AFF course with instructor Steve. I received my A-License exactly 4 months and 30 jumps later. I am completely in love with skydiving, I can’t believe I did not discover this 20 years ago.
Once again there was amazing care and detail by the instructors. I never felt in any danger, I knew what to do at all times and I had so much fun learning at the same time. After every jump I got a detailed video analysis debrief of my jump. Everyone at the Robertson dropzone is amazing, super friendly and very enthusiastic about skydiving. The views are amazing the terrain tailor-made for landing safely and the environment super chilled to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, and there’s plenty to do in the surrounding area as post-skydiving activities.
